Creating the world of the future through the young leaders of today

SBIF closes the resources gap for young changemakers through scholarships, grants, and mentorship programs, transferring wisdom across generations and investing early in their potential.

OUR STORY

From his early days as a “Big Brother” mentor to his career as a coach for entrepreneurs and their leadership teams, SBIF founder Richard Magid has empowered early-stage leaders to reach their fullest potential. As an active mentor, trainer, and donor, Richard has collaborated with established organizations that develop young leaders in the US and around the world. Inspired by the impact of this work, Richard became passionate about bringing others into the practice of high-impact, heart-centered giving.

OUR MISSION

The Soundboard Impact Foundation is a non-profit fostering education and support programs which are developing the inspiring leaders of tomorrow, predominantly in under-privileged and under-served communities. The Soundboard Impact Foundation delivers financial support through donations and scholarships, while also leveraging the experiences of its donors and extended community of supporters through hands-on mentorship and programming.

Young Leaders Face A Critical Resource Gap

Lack of access to early seed funding to help them actualize their vision

A scarcity of guiding wisdom, shoulders to lean on, and the right level of “tough love”

No one to meet them “where they are” in their unique cultural and professional context

We Make it Possible for Young Leaders to Change the World

At SBIF, we believe in the power of critical-moment giving. We invest in young leaders right when their great ideas could rise or fall. We focus on early grassroots support for those who have the fewest resources but the most potential.

Strategic partnerships minimize legwork and maximize impact. By collaborating with established organizations that attract, vet, and train young leaders, we are able to efficiently identify the best and brightest in the US and around the world

Uplifting whole communities begins with uplifting the right individuals. Our young leaders are purposeful, strategic, and collaborative. They value empathy, compassion, self-growth, and, when needed, decisiveness.

They have committed to making positive societal change. We support particular people rather than particular causes. Our young leaders create initiatives that focus on mental health, women's and human rights, climate challenges, education, access to health care and many other critical issues that define our tomorrow.

We Transform “Donors” Into Mentors, Story Tellers & Legacy Builders

At SBIF, we believe giving isn't just financial — it's personal. Whether you're contributing $1,000 or sharing an hour of your time, your legacy begins when you invest in someone else. We invite supporters who want to mentor, connect, and leave a meaningful legacy - not just write a check.

Just giving money is the easy way out. It takes passion, commitment, and time to make lasting impact and turn donations into the projects, programs and new organizations that create sustainable change.

Creating an enduring legacy means creating a new story. At SBIF, you share your wisdom, expand your perspective, and become a part of the change-maker's journey.

How much time is required? We turn the question right back at you: how much time can you give? We meet you where you are at, and we provide you with mentor training and hands-on guidance as you become an impactful presence and voice for the young leaders and organizations that you support.

Never underestimate the impact one person can have
